Was PI Agent designed by real private investigators?

Yes. Our software development team worked with local licensed private investigators to determine the needs of a typical investigator.

I am a PI and believe I could give you some tips. How can I be a consultant for your company?

To make the best software for private investigators, we hire consultants to work with us to help us develop the best private investigation software on the market. We are always making updates and adding new features to give our customers the best experience possible. Although we have a few PI's as consultants, we are looking for a few more PI's to work with. We prefer to have multiple investigators as consultants because each investigator has their own way of handling cases and we want to get as much information and unique ideas as possible. If you are a PI and in the Los Angeles area, we might want to work with you. Send an email to info@skaldictechnologies.com and we will go from there. We only work with local PI's so we can bring them into our office and work directly with us.

Why is your price so high/low for your software?

There are only a handful of other private investigation software programs out there. Most of them are clunky, have a bad user interface, and are very expensive. We worked with actual private investigators who used those programs to help us build PI Agent. Our prices may seem high to some, but for industry specific programs (accounting, 3D design, etc), prices are usually a lot higher than ours. We are the least expensive private investigation software company, have no monthly fees, great phone/email support, and our product is always improving.

Do I have to be a licensed PI to buy PI Agent?

No.

Is there a network version available?

Not at this time but there is currently one in development.

Which new features will be available in a future version of PI Agent?

We have been working a few things, but some features to expect in the future are a Mac version, Quickbooks integration, international features, video editing, and a few other goodies.

How many computers am I allowed to install PI Agent software on? What are your license requirements?

You can install our software on as many computers as you own for no additional license fee. If you have an office, other PI's are allowed to use the software, however only one account is allowed to be used. For example, if two PIs in your office want to keep seperate records of their own work and keep their own personal information, you would need to purchase two licenses. If all PIs in your office are working off up the same database, you would only need to purchase once license, even if there are multiple computers.

You are not permitted to resale the software to another person or give copies out to friends. Each piece of software needs to be activated online before it can be used. Every so often we give free software updates to our users which include cool new features. Only users who purchased the software from us will have access to these updates.

Are there any monthly fees for PI Agent software?

Of course not! It is ridiculous that case management software from other companies would charge a monthly fee for their products.

I have the Lite or Standard version of PI-Agent, would I need to pay the full amount to upgrade?

No. If you wish to upgrade to a different version, you would need to contact us directly instead of buying in our webstore. The price would just be the difference of the version you wish to upgrade from the version you already have.

Will there be updates to my software?

Yes, every so often you will be able there will be new updates available for your version of PI Agent on our website. These updates could include additional features, updates to reports, bug fixes, and other things to make your product run better. In your program click "Help" then "Check for updates" to see if there are any updates for your version.

I forgot my password to log in to my program, and I forgot my "Forgot password" hint, how can I gain access to my software?

PI Agent requires a password to log on to use the program to protect your sensitive case information. If you forgot your password, use the "Forgot password" feature to reveal the password hint that you initially set up. If you forgot both your password and your password hint, then give us a call to instruct you how to create a new log in. To protect our users, you would need to provide us your first and last name, mailing address, email address, and order number. We will then send you an email with a security number, which you will need to provide to us. Once everything matches up, we will give you instructions to reset your software log in.

This seems like a real pain-in-the-butt just to reset your log in, but we take the security of our users seriously. Your software contains yoursensitive case data, so if an unauthorized person logs onto your computer then calls us pretending to be you to reset your password, they will be unable to since we go through great lengths to verify identities.
